Meet Our Team
Michael Sim
Tour Insider
His early rise was meteoric—by 2005, he had claimed the title of the world’s No. 1 ranked amateur golfer, winning prestigious events such as the Sunnehanna Amateur and consistently outperforming on the global stage.
Turning professional later that same year, Michael joined the Nationwide Tour (now known as the Korn Ferry Tour) and made an immediate impact. In 2009, he enjoyed a breakout season, winning three times and setting a new single-season earnings record. That dominant year earned him the title of Nationwide Tour Player of the Year and full status on the PGA Tour. During this period, Michael reached a career-high Official World Golf Ranking of No. 34, a testament to his talent and potential at the top level.
Michael has competed in all four major championships and earned over $2 million on the PGA Tour. His professional journey has not been without its challenges—injuries, including a serious back issue, tested his resilience and forced him to reevaluate.
